On Saturday, June 1st, our Co-Founder and Director of Outreach & Recruitment, Mr. Johnnie Roseburr, III served as the keynote speaker at the Church of the Living God, C.W.F.F. 6th District Scholarship Luncheon. With over 50 people in attendance recognizing four graduating seniors Mr. Roseburr encouraged the students and set before them a challenge of “Having F.U.N.”
His message was poignant and relevant and one that we, here at Mindnificent Reach, Inc. strive to impart on all of those who engage with us. Not just the students that we serve but our mentors and advocates as well. So as you begin each week, each day, and each new adventure, we encourage you to wake up with one thought on your mind, figuring out how you can have F.U.N.
F – Figure out your passion and make it a career. Take time to learn what you’re good at, what you like to do, what you enjoy doing, and what really sets your light on fire. Once you hone in on your passion, make it a career. But in order to do that you must set Goals. And of course with setting goals, you make plans to reach those goals.
Remember that as you make your passion your career keep the negativity at a distance. Surround yourself with positive, like-minded people who can help you as you work your plan and reach your goals.
U – Understand that plans change. Many of us have made plans to do something, like perhaps meet up with friends and then have had to reset or cancel because something came up. It’s the exact same concept as with making plans for reaching your goals and making your passion your career. Even the best and most thought out plans need to be revised.
But that’s ok. Embrace that fact, be flexible, reset, and continue to reach for your goals.
N – Never give up. It seems simple enough. But sometimes when it seems like everything is going wrong. We’ve all been there. You’re tired, worn out, the world seems to be against you, and nothing goes right or your way. But even in adversity, continue to work because you can make it.
As Mr. Roseburr finished he reference football great Jim Brown saying, “Success is not for the elite or the privileged but for those who want it, plan for it, and take action to achieve it.”
Wake up every day striving to have fun!

Outstanding job. Thank you for your guidance, I will practice and learn to have F.U.N.
